first parent-teacher conference

i always knew that m was good at blowing her nose.
i also knew that she sometimes liked to help clean up and  throw things into the garbage (appropriate things)

at school she has the whole routine down
she takes a tissue,
blows her nose,
throws out the tissue
and then goes to wash her hands

if only i were that diligent.

she has internalized these routines.
her teachers say that in fact, she makes sure her classmates also stick to the routine.
when one is doing something they are not supposed to be, she tries to bring them back to the group.
if she is unable, she employs the help of a teacher.
when the rebel student finally rejoins the group, m applauds them (literally, not figuratively) and then relaxes back into the activity.

her uncle david would be proud
