like a showdown?

in talking with my sister today about the luminosity piece i saw yesterday, i realized that i forgot to explain exactly why it was that i spent such an inordinate amount of time with this one work. as i began to notice the viewers in the room, two of them stuck out to me. this was because as dozens of people came and left the space, these two strangers (to me and to each other) stayed fixated on the woman performing. i was curious to see how long they would stay and watch her for. we all stayed until the museum closed. so my sister asked, "so it was like you were having a showdown of who could stay there the longest?" not really. but sort of.
