except...through other people/artists; a conversation, a creation of someone else's almost always gets my wheels spinning.
i recently received a liebster award from my friend tony.
i didn't know what that was either before reading the description below:
"Liebster" is a German word meaning dearest and the award is given to up-and-coming bloggers with less than 200 followers.
This is how it works:
1. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
2. Reveal your Top 5 blogs (with under 200 followers) and let them know by leaving comments on their blogs.
i recently did something like this here.
3. Post the Award on your blog.
done
4. Enjoy the love of some of the most supportive people on the Internet.
as much as i love the idea of paying it forward (although i didn't love the movie itself) i am also hesitant to enter into a chain/pyramid scheme of love. so please, feel free to pay it forward, and if you don't, that's ok too!
and because i didn't write about it in the link above, i should mention that tony (rewind revise / skip rip or play) , who awarded me with the liebster is one of my dearest friends. not only is she talented (you can tell by her writing and her gift-giving) but she's also one of the bravest people i know. note that brave does not equal fearless. in fact, they are opposites. brave means doing things that freak you out; make you vulnerable/nervous/scared and you do them anyway because that's what builds character, helps you grow.
she has several lifetimes worth of stories to tell, and she's an expert at telling them. i'm waiting for one of my favorites to appear on her blog. it's about an H&R Block party and how if you believe in yourself, you can most literally be whatever you want. it's bad-ass.
