bik

I wish that were the case. my betta fish, bik (pronounced biek) has been virtually immobile for the past two weeks. the food i put in his tank goes untouched; i don't think he has gotten off the the floor of the tank in at least 10 days. i've had him for almost a year, which is already longer than most betta fish last... yet i can't help but think it's not his time. or i don't want it to be his time.

when i press my face up against the glass to get a good look at him and how his color is rapidly fading, he slowly turns an eyeball toward me. as silly as i think it is to have "feelings" for a fish, i can't help but be sad. he's my only pet.
