In a couple of days I turn thirty. As much as I don't agonize over the " idea" of aging, I think that the markers we create in life are nice moments to check in and reflect.
Things I won't miss about my twenties:
Acne
Moving homes nine times
Having no idea what I want to be when I grow up
Majoring in something useless like modern dance
Enduring extreme back pain
Things I will miss about my twenties:
Becoming an aunt for the first time
Falling in love for the first time
Majoring in something useless like modern dance
Taking a road trip across the country with a dear friend
Traveling to six new countries
Not having CONSTANT back pain
Things I look forward to in my thirties:
Figuring out what I want to be when I grow up and becoming it
Starting a family
Traveling to six more new countries
Becoming an aunt again (not by v, but another one of the six siblings...)
Continuing to use my useless dance degree for personal creative projects
becoming back-pain and acne free
