vacation

i have been waking up at six thirty to take the dog for a walk on the beach every day for the past week
today was the last day - and one of the more memorable walks
i kept thinking, and saying, "i wish i had brought my camera"

i took many mental pictures:

• of my dad walking ahead of us in his green speedo
• of my sister and erk pushing strollers with the twins in matching purple BT onesies
• of chloe running with her tongue and ears flopping in the sea breeze
• sunlight filtering through the clouds and reflecting off the water like little bits of heaven
