analogy

i thought of a brilliant analogy the other day and thought, "ooh! that would be great to write about!"
and then i waited too long and now have forgotten what the brilliant analogy was.

and as frustrated as i am to have forgotten, i am reminded that it is always better to do things in the moment you are inspired to do them rather than waiting for later

if the moment and the inspiration leave you,  sometimes they are impossible to find again.

or later never comes

and as my father always says, quoting his own mother-in-law "you never regret going into the ocean"
